A site-member recently posted this question on our Forum:
"...I used a coffee mocha fo (are we allowed to say from where we buy stuff??) and coffee grounds
for scrubbyness..."
For all those who might have a similar question/concern, here's the answer I sent in reply:
Use your own good judgement and taste as to what's logically o.k. and what probably isn't
In this case, if the topic item is something that we don't sell ourselves at the SBM website, then it certainly is ok to post it ( is that Mocha scent from Sweetcakes?). On the other hand, a post like ''You can find xxx at a better price at xyz.com than SBM sells it for" might be 'a wee bit too tacky' to post at our Forum.
I expect that very, very few postings would be 'beyond the pale' as we go on.
If anyone does happen to think a posting might be out of line for this or any other reason (abusive, distasteful, obscene, etc), any signed-on site member can use the tag-link at he bottom of each posting to report it for review by SBM staff. This automatically removes a posting from view until & unless we decide it's o.k. to put back into visible status. [If something is re-posted with alterations or deletions, such would always be explained] Blatantly abusive postings never make it to initial visibility in the first place as we use an outside monitoring service to automatically hide and report spam or specifically abusive topics and words if they come up.
A similar function prevents abusive and spam postings at our website's Guestbook. In fact, we don't allow any postings there to be visible until we see them first. This is because of the pervasive & persistent "spam-bot" entries that come in that no one wants to see.
I hope this helps. If anyone has a question on this, feel free to use the "Contact" button to message me.
