Liquid Body Soap

Hey all,

I am wanting to make a body wash for xmas presents. Kind of like the products out there for men, marketed as an all in one product for hair and body and shave. Anyway, I've only got one batch of liquid soap under my belt. I want a thick product, with lots of bubbles and lather. I have seen recipes  that call for shredded cp soap to be added to the liquid soap. How about adding sodium hydroxide along with the potassium hydroxide at the start? Kind of like cream soap, but without all the stearic. Am I making sense? Has any one tried mixing the lyes without the aim being cream soap?

Check out our SBM Advanced Calculator (blue menue button on left of our website's front page) for making liquid soaps using a combination of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide. It accurately calculates the amount of each hydroxide needed in response to your input of %-by-weight of each hydroxide desired, which is hard to do manually due to the different densities of each.

The Advanced Calculator version has a lot of options and guidances for experimenting with various types and methods of soapmaking, including what you are looking for.

I hope this helps!
