For Liquid Soaps: Not recommended for use in liquid soapmaking.
For Other Uses: Pine Tar is also used as an antiseptic and hoof care product for horses and cattle; as a wood preservative; as a wood sealant for maritime use; in roofing construction and maintenance and as a folk remedy in the treatment of skin diseases, such as psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea. Pine Tar is also the sticky stuff baseball players use on their bats to improve grip.
