Spam/Hacker attacks on the SBM website

Due to ever-increasing attempted spam and hacker attack attempts on our SBM web site, we have installed some seriously hi-tech 'block' and 'trap' types of protective functions for the SBM site that operate invisibly in the 'background'. These act when suspicious sources access our site.

Recently, however, such an attack crashed our isp host's server assigned to us for a period of time.

We therefore have instituted a specific total-incoming block on ALL of the known source-isp's of spam and hacker attempts. This means that anyone using any of THOUSANDS of isp providers around the world that have been identified as sources of problems will no longer be able to access our SBM website.

This will unfortunately result in some unavoidable 'collateral damage' wherein some good users located outside of the USA may not be able to access our site. This may occur if the isp/web service provider that they use has also been identified as a problem source.

Country-areas involved in current spam/attack attempts are primarily, but not limited to: China, Russia, Nigeria, Rumania, Panama and many others.

I regret any problems this may cause to a few of the international users that have enjoyed our web site, but the torrent of incoming potential problems for any website that has existed for over ten years makes this change necessary.
